Compiled by independent industry experts, The Best Estate Agent Guide is based on the UK’s most comprehensive source of property listings data supplied by Property Market Data Specialists, TwentyEA.

The assessment analyses millions of property transactions and measures the performance of 96.6% of agents, using over 4,500 different data sources, including Land Registry and Ordnance Survey.


The Best Estate Agent Guide compare performance at a hyper-local level in order to take into consideration differences in regional property markets. Agents are compared against others in their patch to find the best performers.


When choosing which agents to list in the Best Estate Agent Guide, each one is scored against a unique set of performance criteria that measures property marketing, customer service and results:

Agents that score well on market share can demonstrate that they have experience of selling more properties compared with their competition.

Agents that score well on conversions have more exchange or let triggers, and low levels of withdrawals and fall-throughs compared with agents in their patch.

Agents that score well on time to sell or let are quicker than other agents on their patch to generate offers and they progress those properties to completion more quickly than others in their patch.

Agents with strong asking price to price achieved, have a lower percentage of price reductions compared to other agents in their patch.

Agents that score well for customer service respond quickly to enquiries, are courteous and knowledgeable and provide access to information and services via their website.
